GARDEN UPDATE ;]

Here's that Geranium again, sorry, it's so pretty I cant help showing it off,lol Progress on the 1\2 circle around the hammock (still waiting for cliff to build arbor :[ )

Here's the little wild flowers starting to pop a bit. They are about 7 inches tall (still babes)(by the way the duck and swan were my moms :} )

Some Lobelia (blue flowers) I planted around the oaks. Kinda looks like they grew there on their own, dont ya think?

This is the side yard coming along. The Hostas my neighbor gave me are doing well.

Here's Annabella taking flight off the deck steps. This camera is cool cause it does of good job of catching moving shots :}

By the way I planted some grass seeds so maybe next time you see my yard some of the naked spots will be filled in,ughhhhh! Thats all she wrote ! Soooo glad to be back :}!!!

TACO SALAD

Made this taco salad for my brother in laws BBQ.Very easy and yummy,alittle time consuming but you can do the meat the day ahead. shred 1 head ice burg lettuce(small skinny pieces)- 1 pint cherry or grape tomatoes halved- 2 cups coarsely crushed tortia chips- 3\4 pnd browned chop meat cooked with 3/4 pkg taco seasoning (alittle less water)- 1\2 chopped sweet onion- 1 can sliced black olives- 1 cup salsa-3/4 cup thousand island dressing. When ready to eat heat the meat with all ingredients in it accept lettuce tortia chips and mexi style shredded cheese. Pour on top when warm and mix.YUM!All the food was good .My sister in law made a couple of awesome salads !!! Our kids had ball playing in the sun!

I am going to borrow the hubs I-phone camera so I can start sharing with you all again.I MISS IT!!!!!!! There were so many things that passed me by because I had no camera.It was maddening(spelled right??).See ya with some new stuff soon!!

HOW DOES "MY" GARDEN GROW

Here is Mr Fern in all his glory.Love it! To the left is some Hostas my neighbor was nice enough to share with me :] This is a great plant that's supposed to get pretty bushy and make flowers .My hubs bosses wife gave this to me and the last 3 plants you'll see posted here.Very generous sweet woman!!!Of course I cant remember what the name of the plants are(even though she told me like 10 times,duhhh)I'll hafta look them up after they bloom.I do know they are perennials though ;]

Here is my Violas(not pansy which I said before,DUHH).They are doing great on the deck.

These 3 are also from hubs bosses wife.They need full sun which I don't have enough of except this spot.I'll get bigger pots for them soon because she said they get pretty large also :}

I feel lucky to have so many donated perennial plants this year.Once I get my new camera(god knows when )I'll show ya how they are all doing.I will soon have to get some annuals to fill in gaps with constant color. Hope your having a great day;]!

MOMS ITALY

My Aunt Mary and Uncle Mario where kind enough to take a few pics of where my mom grew up in Italy(Calabria).This pic is whats left of a cool little stone House they spent quite a bit of time in.Looks mysterious and beautiful. What a view!!!

I just recently have started to want to visit Italy and see where my mom spent the first 19 years of her life.When my mom said she walked to school in the snow with no shoes on she ment it,lol.They worked real hard to get through each day .You had to work for anything and everything(unlike our spoiled kiddies today,me included).I have much respect for my whole Italian fam!!!!!(and my polish fam to of course ;])
