GOT A NEW FRIEND THIS WINTER. NO CLUE WHERE HE CAME FROM BUT HE'S HUNGRY AND WAITING HIS TURN TO EAT AFTER MY GIRLS AND TOM CAT. THERE IS A DEFINITE PECKING ORDER TO WHO EATS FIRST.
THE ABOVE WAS HIS FACE BEFORE HE SAW ME IN THE WINDOW AND THIS NEXT ONE IS AFTER.
WHAT CHEW LOOKIN AT SANDRA, LOL.
SO I MADE A COUPLE OF FANCY PANTS PIZZA'S. THIS ONE ABOVE IS CHERRY TOMATO, BASIL, BROWNED GARLIC, ALL TOSSED IN A BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE, WITH GOAT CHEESE, MOTZ, FONTINA, PARM AND ASIAGO CHEESE. THE SAUCE WAS A OLIVE TAPENADE (I USED GARLIC , KALAMDA OLIVES, LEMON JUICE AND OLIVE OIL ALL PULVERIZED IN FOOD PROCESSOR. (PESTO WOULD BE GOOD TO)
THIS GUY IS THE SAME CHEESES, THE OLIVE TAPINADE, AND SAUTEED MUSHROOMS.
I USED SLICED AND ROUGHLY CHOPPED WHITE MUSHROOMS. I HEAT UP SOME SOY SAUCE ( ABOUT 1/2 CUP) WITH A SPLASH OF VINEGAR, A GOOD COUPLE OF SHAKES GARLIC POWDER, A SMIDGEN ONION POWDER, SALT, PEPPER, AND A GOOD COUPLE SPLASHES OF OLIVE OIL. THROW IN SHROOMS AND KEEP ON MEDIUM HIGH HEAT AND STIR EVERY NOW AND THEN TILL LIQUID IS REDUCED AND SHROOMS TENDER. I CAN EAT THEM WITH A SPOON AND BE VERY HAPPY!!!
THE CRUST WAS HOMEMADE AND VERY THIN (PIONEER WOMAN RECIPE). I COOKED IT AT 495 FOR APPR 15 MINUTES AND IT CRISPED UP NICE WITHOUT BURNING BUT TO ME THE CRUST HAD NO FLAVOR. I WILL ADD MORE SALT NEXT TIME AND LET DOUGH HANG IN FRIDGE FOR A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE I USE. (THE PIONEER WOMAN SAYS IT TASTE BETTER THAT WAY).
THE OVER ALL PIZZA'S TO ME WERE GOOD BUTTTTTT THE FLAVOR WAS NOT AS STRONG AS I WANTED. THE CHEESES ALL TASTED LIKE PLAIN OLD MOTZ TO ME???
THE TOPPINGS WERE VERY YUM THOUGH AND I LOVED HOW THE PIZZA PIES LOOKED :}.

THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PLACE! I FEEL LIKE I COULD SPEND FOREVER HERE JUST FEEDING THE CHICKS, PLAYING WITH THE BARN CATS AND MAKING PRESERVES ETC, LOL.
