All in all, we had a nice weekend here. I got to do lots of pruning for a couple of hours this morning and then pop came over for pasta :}.

Annas watercolors

Anna has always had an amazing imagination and sometimes she just blows me away with her artwork. These two imparticular are just so whimsical, they take me to another world just looking at them. She did them about a year ago and I am hoping she can get back into it again. She actual thinks the one above is poop which blows me away. She won't even let me frame it. (and no, these are not bad guys, lol)

This one above is of her version of a tree women/ mother nature. I lOVVVE IT!!! Her use of color blows mine away!!!

Annabella is an artist through and through! Even when she was a little tiny thing with fat markers in her hand. I pray she someday realizes she has a great gift and uses it to bring color and whimsy to the world and at the same time, peace and happiness to her days.

Okay, now before I blubber all over the place, here is a funny to end the post on...

My bedroom :{

So this here is a pic of my bedroom before we moved in. Its good points are the two window you see look out onto my enclosed porch, so if I want light or to feel like the space is bigger I can just open the blinds. The bad points are the walls were covered with tiny, tiny flowered wallpaper that yellowed with time (I ripped it all down) and the moldings up top and around door frames are painted an icky brown and window trim is stained brown (I started to paint them white).

I am struggling with what color to paint the walls. I don't want to ever have to paint them again!!!! I want something super neutral and cliff hates white so, that's out.  Any ideas??????

Thrift store finds

Got a fondue set and a Chocolate fondue fountain for 15 bucks at the Thrift store here in Oakdale. Not bad! Would have spent over 50 bucks for them in the stores.

The thrift store here is in a cute house just like in Northport but the Northport prices will NEVER be beaten!!!

Time for a Fondue party :}! Can I dip broccoli in the chocolate???? Maybe if its dark chocolate??? Trying to be healthy. Dark chocolate is healthy!

How incredibly sweet are these babies? I just wanted to share this adorableness with you. I always see a beautiful female deer when I do a Shamanic journey. (kind of like mediating)

Clearing the yard

Here is a rundown of our backyard coming in from the side gate.

This section and all sections inside the stone border looks just like an insane jungle every summer thus far. Cliff and I have been ripping it all up lately trying to make some sense out of it all.

Of course, the dogs head straight for the jungle to poop in and then we can't find it to clean it up :{

The whole back fence is covered with ivy which I love the look of. We are pretty sure its the only thing holding up the rear fence at this point cause it is pretty darn rotted.

The deck is a train wreck too but we may be able to redo it this spring (fingers crossed ;] )

I ripped away at the weeds and such today, loving being outside on such a gorgeous afternoon. I love pruning things the most and I got some of that in too. I am sooooooo ridiculously grateful to have a yard to play in and challenge me!!!! I think this year I will make some real headway :}!

Feeling strangely energetic, I also made chicken chili, Tomato sauce and meatballs, pulled pork and tried my hand at an Asian rice and mini meatball soup. No clue how I did so much today???? I'll just say, thank you Lord for the energy :}!

Saturday night BBQ

Yes, we BBQ even in the freezing cold. I have to say I enjoy it even more in the winter than in the summer. Why?

 NO BUGS, LOL!

Do you notice anything weird about Bill here? Besides my coat over his head and his out of control beard?

The nut is barefoot! Anna hung out here barefoot as well! Are they lazy or just immune to the cold because of their youth? 

Probably a bit of both ;].

YUP!!!!!! Weeeee have control over every day in this way!!!

 BOOOO...LOL, No, I am not trying to camouflage myself, lol! My face has been so dry lately and I found this good easy treatment online. Mix some fresh coffee grounds with equal amounts of extra virgin olive oil. Then, on a CLEAN face, rub the mixture into your face using a small circular motion. For the delicate skin around your eyes, just pat the mixture gently. Leave it on for 5 to 15 minutes and wash off with warm soapy water and moisturize as usual. WORKS GREAT!!! I did my hands too. Actually, you can do your whole body if you like. Caffeine is good for cellulite and tightening skin :}!

ps I do this right before I shower and wash it off in there.

This is so true! It's a good reminder to get moving on making changes in our lives that will make it healthier and happier :}.
