Took this pic shortly before grams longggg stay at rehab(When poor georgie was still with us:[ ).I went to see her the other day with Ria G and was amazed at how great she looked in comparison to my last visit.Almost like a little miracle as Maria T said. The other night my hubby Cliff played school with Anna. When he had had enough of being learned he told Anna to write a 3 page essay on salami(to keep her busy a while:})Wellll she did and then went on to write Dr.Salami books for about 3 hours.Alittle sloppy but shes like her mom when writing.Zoom zoom zoom ,fix boo boos later.These books where hysterical! Love your mind little mama

Cliffs Sauce and Meatballs

Caught a break from my usual sauce making routine today.My hubby Cliff decided to hit the sauce pot and try his hand at making meatballs.Sauce was yummy honey and I liked the meatballs even if you didnt (especially since I didnt have to make them,hee hee,hummmmmmmm I really shouldnt giggle yet cause I know those dishes have my name on them :{).

GARAGE SALE ANYONE :}

This adorable lighted house was a gift from my cuz Maria T.She knows what a garage sale freak I am and how much I would love this special little house(actually its pretty big :}).Tooooo cute with the little clothes on hangers and box of books .Love love love it!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this pic is cooool! I took it in my back yard a couple of weeks ago during a full moon.(shortly before i quit smoking yet again).The fogginess is my cigarette smoke getting into the picture .GROSS, I know but made for a cool effect :}

Walk with Anne :}

Annes shadow! (no.. her head is not the size of a pea,heehee)

Took walk with buddy Anne last week.My friend who usually has a built in compass in her head went blank picking the proper trail to get back to civilization. She asked me which way I thought we should go and I said I am 99.9% always wrong sooooo ,we took the opposite of every path I picked and we made it out just fine :\.Depressingly(i know thats not a real word:}) I am not very intuitive in situations like this ,wahhh!!

Fabric Organizer Filled Up

Heres my organizer filled with my stuff(well, a small amount of my "stuff" :/). The desk is actually an old enamel top work table I got from a estate sale over the summer, for 5 bucks(gotta love that!).This is all in my small kitchen room.I put my sewing machine underneath and my sewing basket up top(used to store my machine in basement). Now its easy to just grab what I need and bring it to my huge dining room table to really get busy(and make a REALLY huge mess).I love the little draw on the table.Its deep set and holds a ton of more "stuff" :}.Oh.. my pop bought me the awesome red stool chair.He's the greatest!!!!Thanks daddy-o :}!LUV YA!

KAITLYNES KITTIE- ALL DONE :}

Here she is ! Let me just say,PAIN in the butt when it comes to dress and stitching of face,ughhhhhh.This is really my first time so I made a few boo boos I had to keep going back to fix and like a ding bat I started the the day before I needed her to be done, hense.... taking away the chance to enjoy making her at my own pace.ANYWHO.... shes done and I hafta say I love her. I only hope Katie does to :/ .

KAITLNYES BIRTHDAY KITTIE

Heres my Kaitlyne kittie.Its my niece Katies bday this week and I wanted to make her something special to give her on top of the usual gift card /cash(boring but loved by all,including me ,lol ).Anywho.. Kaitlyne and I have a love of baby dolls incommon but we both have a ton so....I thought why dont I disguise her doll as a kittie this year.This is a pic of the raw kittie.I'll post again when she has a face and a pretty dress on.Shes actually about 18" so she should also fit in Katies american girl doll clothes :}. I hope she likes it :? .

She was very simple to make.Lots of fun .I used an off white sheet,free handed a pic of cat,cut it out and hit the sewing machine.Head, arms and body are one piece.Legs 2 pieces and tail one piece. I left bottom of body open to stuff then hand stitched closed with pale pink thread which shows. Same thread showing where I attached legs and tail. Make sure you stuff your head and neck well or you'll have a depressed kittie with her head hanging low. My daughter Anna made her own designed stuffed creature , I'll tell you about it in a few days;}.

CUPCAKES - MYSTERY READER

My daughter anna had to pick someone special to come and read at her school.She picked her aunt Maria and they made a very special memory together yesterday afternnon. Maria picked the book library lion to read to the class because lions are Annas favorite and ria loves animals to:}.They looked so cute sitting together on wee kiddie chairs while the rest of the class sat criss cross apple sauce on the rug all around them.Anna wanted to bring a snack for the class so we made cupcakes together . For 2 weeks anna worked hard on making cute little lion books to stick on top of cupcakes with toothpicks(i(mom)helped a wee bit:}) .She painted all the pics herself(well minus 3 cause i couldnt resist:}) the books are covered with fabric I luckily had with lions on it.FUN!! PS. Thats prudence my new kitchen cat i got at the thrift store this week(above cupcakes).Isnt she the chubbiest cutest thing,lol(and clean,shes had a hot bath;}).Aunt pru dont take any offense to the name ,it was on her tag ,i swear,lol.Buttt now she remind s me of you because of name sake soooo it s nice to have ya in my kitchen,heehee.

THRIFT STORE

New curtains for my teenager(13) Billys room for 4 bucks-ish.The quality is awesome and they go perfectly :}.Definately would have been at least 40 bucks in dept store!:]

O. k heres my beyond easy basic book bag to take to the library.Made sure handles where sewn in deep and stitched up and down a good 4 times so it will never fall appart.I also made it deeper than most because the movies we get at the library now where spilling out of the top of my other bags.Used fabric i had gotten from my cuz Maria a couple of years ago(Thanks Maria :}!!) Very easy and fun!(Oh modeling the bag are Angel and Ludwig,Again! I have crafting cats:})

This is a fabric organizer I made to hang on kitchen wall. I took over a little corner to keep some of my stuff(Thanks for idea Dani).I used a very sturdy fabric .Very easy, just make sure you measure out the pocket spaces you stitch to go with what ever your actually going to put in them.Oh and remember to turn the fabric right side out before you stitch the pockets (Thats a little tip for my fellow pollack friends ;},lol).

THRIFT STORE FINDS 1-21-2010

Heres this weeks finds(and angel kittie,oh and ludwig in the window which is open to get some fresh air in my house.The winter heat makes me dry up if i dont air out once in awhile).My favorite is the galvanized mini bucket and the tomato squisher :}.Its handle even matches my marockin red kitchen,lol.My daughter Anna got a bday crown(bdays coming up),some movies and my son Bill got a very nice skateboard(forgot to put in pic}.I'm reading the Nora Roberts book already(pretty good).I love getting books for 25 cents.The little(kinda big really)ceramic girl lites up inside with a candle .Once again she remind me of my hubby when he was a kid(i know i know,its a girl but facts are facts ,hee hee).All this for only 5bucks(including skate board .NOW THATS A BARGAIN!!!!

VALENTINES DAY IDEAS!

This little fisherman is the spitting image of my husband when he was a kid. He even had a cowlick in his hair that made the bang area do the same thing as in this pic and......his most favorite thing to do then and now is fish(for hours and hours!!!!!)Anywho... this is part of a vintage card (small) that I am going to try and paint for him :}.I'll let you know how it goes.I also came across a compass from world war 2 on ebay that I may bid on .Hes a history buff and I can definately write a nice squishy poem about him always finding his way home to me:}.If I get it ,i'll post a pic.Valentines day isnt far away so dont forget your number one man ladies!!! LOW CARB

Starting my low carb diet today.I quit smoking 9 days ago and have since put on 4 pounds.Soooo ,thats not acceptable!!!!Time to get rid of those bad boys.Hard boiled eggs are great on this diet .I would stick with 1 or 2 a day.Peel them,a little salt and you feel like you ate something.I also keep cooked chicken in the fridge ,tuna,favorite no sugar cold cuts(genoa salami),cheese cubes and sunflower seeds(in the shell).Oh and I do use full fat mayo(its o.k!)The seeds are handy when ya need that tv snack.There are some good low carb yogurts and ice creams but I try to keep it to a minimum.I'm not a fan of fake sugar products.After 2 weeks i'll start throwing in some veggies and low carb bread .Dont forget to drink water if ya try this.Stay away from diet coke etc (no more then 1 8oz cup a day).No juices either!!BYE BYE FOUR POUNDS!!!!

This is a clothe doll i found this week at the thrift store .I think shes lovely(even though my husband, son and friend anne all think shes abit scarey,lol)I'll have lots of fun making new clothes for her on my machine.Very "Little Women".

Got another tin at the thrift store this week.I love collecting them .This one is made in england.Very sweet!

We have snow this morning :}

Just a wee bit but enough for me to ask my pal anne to please drive the kiddies to school this morning(usually my job but my tires are getting bald and she lives on a wicked steep hill .My van would turn into an istant slippery sled:.I Need to work on that!!).Heres a pic of a real snow we had not to long ago when my poor sweety neighbors car got plowed in.Have a great day all ,filled with snowy dreams :}!
