THIS IS HOW I FELT AFTER THE LEMON CURD!!
(ACTUALLY MUCH WORSE!!!)(WHAT IS LEMON CURD? IT IS A CUSTARD LIKE TREAT WHICH TASTES AMAZING IF DONE RIGHT AND YOU CAN PUT IT IN FROSTINGS,TARTS,SCONES, ICE CREAM,ETC IF YOU ARE A LEMON LOVER
SO I MADE VANILLA SCONES WITH A NEW RECIPE AND THEY LOOKED PRETTY BUTTTT WERE WAY TO SOFT AND VERYYYYYYYY PLAIN!!!!
TRIED TO MAKE LEMON CURD THREEEEEE TIMES!!
TWO BATCHES TASTED LIKE ROTTEN EGGS AND ONE BATCH TASTED GREAT BUT WOULDNT THICKEN SO I PUT IT BACK ON THE STOVE THE DAY NEXT AND DID GET IT TO THICKEN BUT IT GOT A BIT GLOOPY AND SOME OF THE ORIGINAL YUMMY TASTE WENT BYE BYE.
I WILL BUY MY LEMON CURD IN THE FUTURE!!!
LESSONS I LEARNED IF YOU EVER WANT TO TRY IT.
1).IF RECIPE CALLS FOR ZEST IN THE MIX,STRAIN IT OUT WHEN DONE COOKING! ITS HORRID TO BITE INTO IT!!
2). USE A CANDY THERMOMETER SO YOU KNOW FOR SURE IF ITS DONE(ABOUT 175 f -ISH) !!! (IT SHOULD GET THICKER AS YOU COOK IT.MAYBE LIKE A NOT QUITE DONE HOT COOK AND SERVE CHOCOLATE PUDDING! IT WILL GET THICKER IN FRIDGE IF YOU GET IT TO THIS POINT!
3) USE YOLK ONLY RECIPE!
4)INVEST IN STAILESS STEEL PROPER DOUBLE BOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5) I USED A WISK BUT SOME PEOPLE SAID WOODEN SPOON IS BETTER??????
SO ITS MONDAY,YIP,LOL.
SOME CLEANING, SOME PHONE CALLS, SOME CHICKEN FOR DIN DIN,TAKING CARE OF MY ZOO ETC ;].

Deletethe scones were delicious and so was the lemon curd, what a funny word. maybe that's why the tea place in port Jeff has it shipped from London, probably to much work for them.
